Gee whiz

it's been a whole month since I blogged. Where has the time flown? I've had a month of not feeling like doing much of anything. Writing proposals. Rewriting said proposals, and oh, yeah, rewriting again. I found out a startling fact about myself. I'm sort of a diva. how dumb is that? I hate being told "no" and I don't like having to rewrite something I happen to like. Yes, folks. That's a diva in waiting. One best-seller away from being unbearable. So I'm taking a lesson from the Man. Hoping He can change me. Knowing He's faithful. :) It was fun being a diva in waiting for awhile. Hee hee. But who wants people to say I believe my own press? You know? So time to nip it in the bud before it gets out of hand. LOL

I am looking forward to Friday for two reasons. 1.) brandilyn Collins is going to be on the 700 CLUB talking about her miraculous healing. And 2.) there is a KNOTS LANDING reunion show on. I am such a huge Knots fan. I watched it when I was an adolescent and teen. And now I watch reruns sometimes on the Soap Channel.

Good Lord. Regis is right now as I type singing on TV. SINGING. And guess what? Well, nevermind. I'll be nice. At least he's singing Santa Claus is Coming to Town and not I'll be Home for Christmas, which I might not be able to forgive.

It's hard to believe that Christmas is almost here! My son is 7 and still believes in the Jolly old Elf. He's the youngest of 4 and I'm having to threaten my older kids with lumps of coal in their stocking if they DARE breathe a word to him. They find it embarassing that he still believes. :)
If he doesn't, he's one darned good actor, because I'm convinced. He wants a Care Bear for Christmas, do you think that weird? I'm torn.

Anyone see Star Jones on Praise the Lord show last night? She's REALLY lost weight. There's a lot of speculation about it. Did she have surgery? or was it good living? She has a book coming out next month, but I don't think I'll spend $20 just to find out if she had Gastric Bypass. TOo many good books coming out--Dee Henderson's new one---can anyone say, 'BOUT TIME GIRL!! Karen Kingsbury has a new one coming. And a couple of others I don't remember OH Angela Hunt! Too many great Christian books coming out to waste money on a self help book. I'll wait until the buzz starts on the internet. Anyway, she is definitely a committed Christian now! I've noticed a change in her, but haven't watched THE VIEW enough to know what it is.

Well, I'm going under to finish up CLAIRE 3 by the end of the month. I have a new editor at Warner. Anne Goldsmith!!! I always wanted to work with her when she was at Tyndale, so I was thrilled when they hired her.
