Happy news

Seriously happy news. I am the proud user of DSL. For those of you on Dial up, you will understand the frustration. Where I live, DSL was not available until recently. And today....my internet has been speedy! Loving it!

NEWS: Wednesday morning I fly out of Springfield/Branson airport for a quick overnight trip to South Bend, Indiana where I will be appearing on The Harvest Show Thursday morning. Yes, folks, I'm going to be a guest on a talk show. Too bad the camera adds pounds. I don't have any to spare. I've worked too hard to look 10 lbs heavier. Oh well. I guess that's not the important thing, is it?

Anyway, would appreciate prayers. I had a dream that my pilot was popping pain killers and crashed the plane. No one was hurt, but still...I don't need the aggravation.

So... I'm off to a new experience Live TV interview. Lord help that poor interviewer! :)

Until next time...Peace out

Interesting day

Today was the first time in two weeks I've had a day alone. The kids went back to school yesterday after the honkin' ice storm, but I had one home with an ear infection and rusty was home also. SOO today I just stayed in my PJs in bed wiht my laptop and tv.

First of all, I watched the feedback on the TODAY show from last night's State of the Union address. Don't even want to talk about that except to say that sometimes the right people do stupid things just to finish what their parents started. I support our troops and pray for our president. But enough already.

Next, I watched Rosie and the rest on the view. I had a freak out moment when Barbara told Rosie to move on and Rosie told her off!! LOL She was like: Move on? This is a show where we're supposed to give our View, where do you want to go?" LOL I'm thinking this is not going to last long. Rosie is going to spontaneously combust. I think she's hilarious. I love her when she's entertaining, but I don't want to hear her opinions about the president and if I here Kelly called her "wife" one more time I just might scream....and still I watch.

I've hired an assistant who will be starting next week. I'm so disorganized with my fan mail, website, records etc. i'm looking forward to not feeling guilty over all these undone chores. :)

Watched a great movie last night with Kevin Costner and Ashton Kutcher called THE GUARDIAN. Very good movie. And moreso because we watched it as a family. That doesn't happen a lot anymore.

And so I have nothing relevant to say other than next week I will be on the Harvest Show on the LEsea network. THey'll be interviewing me about my upcoming release THE FREEDOM OF THE SOUL. I'll try to remember to post the times. Apparently it's a live show. LOL I can only imagine what I'll say...

Ice Storm!

Guess What? Little House on the Prairie days are wayyyyy overrated! We've been in the throes of a horrid ice storm. I'm sure everyone has been reading about it. We've been without power for a couple of days. And gee whiz, it's dark without lightbulbs. But we do have wood heat as well as a kerosene heater and a camp stove. We were excited for the first couple of hours because it was fun....until I wanted to watch Smallville. I bought all five seasons because I am one of the few people who have never watched the show. So now I'm half way through season three and TOTALLY hooked.

Anyway, the power just came back on about three hours ago. So now the house is too hot. :) I'm going to take a picture of my poor iceladen trees tomorrow when it's light and upload it here.

HAPPY NEWS. I've been using dialup for years because DSL wasn't an option in my rural area. Well, I've just learned that it's available now! So I ordered that bad boy and will have DSL Thursday night. YAY!

Stay warm. Peace out!

American Idol starts tonight. :) YAY!!!!

Starting the New year

I love new beginnings, but something about the whole new year's resolution thing always makes me feel like a failure. I guess it's because I always fail. :)

This year, though, I have some very specific goals that I feel like God put on my heart. (I am not even going to mention the obvious, bible reading prayer, regular church attendance etc)

1.) Take my daughter out for a "date" once a week. Movie, coffee, shopping....She's going to be 18 this year and I feel like I haven't seen her much in years.

2.) Lose my last 24 lbs. (plus the five I actually put on over the holiday)

3.) Meet every deadline. In order to do this, I have to stay out of the hospital. Last year sucked eggs, although I don't regret having gastric bypass at all! It changed my life.

4.) Visit my mom more.

I don't know...I'm sure there are more. I don't consider the obvious as goals but I do want to help more people, give of myself, spend more time playing with my sons. Etc.

Peace.... and Happy New Year
