SUMMER!

When I decided to take the summer off from writing I envisioned hot days bathing in the sun while reading one book after another from my enormous TBR pile, sipping lemon-flavored tea and listening to 80s rock.

You know what they say about the best laid plans (actually what DO they say about the best laid plans?)Anyway, I haven't done those things. Starting with Cat's graduation, we have been bopping around from one thing to the next. It's still been fun. My sister and her family were in from Louisiana for a few days and took Cat and Michael back with them for two weeks. My son Stevan has a summer job that I've been driving him to and from every day and last Sunday I packed up Stevan and Will and we drove down to Louisiana (11 hours!). We stayed a week and drove back with all four kids Friday and Saturday.

We drove five hours yesterday in pouring rain and thunderstorms. In the Branson area we passed a rescue effort in a low-lying area where some people were camping.
But God was faithful and we made it without too much trouble. I slept all day and all night though and woke up with no clean clothes, so stayed home from church.

Anyway!! The really great news is that I made a new sale so I will have food on the table for the next few months. :) I'm so excited about this new deal that I'm sorely tempted to spill out all the details, but better wait for a little while until everything is in stone.

Well, that's my update for this week. I'm looking forward to getting back to the pregnancy support center. I had to miss last week while I was away and I miss my little community of like-minded friends, other volunteers and those who head up the center. I love the place!

Peace~

Young folks serving God

I've been so excited and impressed lately as the fire of God is touching so many kids including my own. Sin is being burned from their lives, along with attitudes and compromise.
My friend Debbie is gearing up to send her two teenagers to Romania and they could use a little support financially. I'm posting a letter from the kids and hoping for tons of support. Large or small!

Attempt great things for God…expect great things from God. – William Carey, missionary

June 5, 2008

Dear Friends and Family,

A big hello from the Love family! This summer, we will have a special opportunity to go on mission to Romania and attempt great things for God. We’re so excited that God has included us within a team of passionate students, led by Nathan Taitt, who used to lead trips for Liberty University The trip is hosted by Life Fellowship in Burlington, NC. While in Romania, we will partner with a group of local churches who are hungry to hear from God’s Word, and expand His kingdom. We will participate in evangelizing, discipling, and loving Romanian children and youth so they too can feel the love of Jesus and experience His power in a personal, transforming way.

One of the greatest aspects of missions is partnership. The only way we can be effective in Romania is to have a dedicated team of supporters. We hope that you will be as excited about this opportunity as we are and that you will choose to be a part of our support team. The cost of the trip for both of us is $4,400, which includes expenses for two weeks and airline tickets. We are doing several fundraising activities, but we need help from partners who will pray and give. We pray that you give freely and that your heart is filled with joy.

When we arrive in Romania, we want to bring freedom to those who are shackled by the strongholds of fear, insecurity, sickness, unforgiveness, anger, and so many more. We want to see joyous Romanian faces worshipping the Lord because they have been transformed by the power of His love. To see this happen, we must have a powerful team of prayer warriors who are willing to sacrifice their time to pray for the advance of God’s Kingdom. Three days before we leave for Romania, we will meet in North Carolina for a time of intense training and discipleship. We pray that many of our friends and family will desire to cover us in prayer as we go.

If you would partner with us to bring the Gospel to Romania, mail your tax deductible gift payable to “Life Fellowship” to our home address: 30776 Hwy JJ, Lebanon, MO 65536. Half of our payment is due on June 15th so any support is greatly appreciated. We can't wait to send you a praise report when we return!

We know that in attempting great things for God, we can together expect great things from God – Hallelujah! May God richly bless you out of His infinite abundance.

Passionate for Jesus,

Nick and Samantha Love

Wow long time since update!

And here I promised a picture of me with Natalie Grant!
The concert was awesome and she was lovely! i was a lot more impressed with her than she was me.

One of the major things that came from the concert for me was the chance to partner with World Vision International to stop Human Trafficking. I'll be talking more about that as the summer progresses and I get a logo link to their website etc.

More news! My daughter Cat graduated highschool as member of the National Honor Society
and my son Stevan graduated eight grade as an honor student. Last night he also receive the baptism of the Holy spirit which I know many of you will understand and rejoice with us over!! His whole countenance is changed today. It was a time of family devotions where we just talked about what God is doing in each one of us. THe sweet presence of God filled our living room and we started to pray softly and Rusty laid hands on him and there it was. Awesome time with the family. God is good.

My sister is coming this week, so it'll be busy and fun-filled.
Love you all
